意見に同意しないときの英語表現

意見に同意しないときの英語表現

賛成できないことを述べる事は大事ですが、少し工夫した表現を使いましょう。賛成できないことを述べるのに、遠まわしな、または柔らかい英語表現があります。また、自分の主張だけするのでは相手と対立してしまうでしょう。相手の意見を聞くことも大切です。その場合に、ただ聞くだけでは十分ではありません。その意見を認め、それを述べた人に敬意を示すことが社会人としてビジネスパーソンとして大事です。

自分の意見を主張するときの英語表現

“If I could offer my opinion here~”　“もしここで私の意見を述べるとしたら・・・”

“May I offer a suggestion?”　“提案をしてもよろしいですか？” 

“I was hoping I could offer an opinion.”　“意見を伝えられることを望んでいました。”

“Well, I would have to say that I feel…”　“えー、私は～と感じると言わざるをえません。”（意見を聞かれたときに）

“If you ask me, it would look better over there.”　“もしあなたに聞かれたら、あちらの方が良く見えると答えます。”

“I think it’s good overall, but on this one point do you think we can consider another approach?”　“全体的にはいいと思いますが、この点だけは別の方法を考えられませんか？”

“I like this idea very much.  However, I think we need to make some adjustments on the implementation plans.”　“このアイデアはとても好きです。しかし、その実施計画については調整をする必要があると思います。”

“I feel comfortable with all the portions of your proposal except step 3.  Can we talk about that one a little more?”　“ステップ３以外は、あなたの提案に全て賛成できます。ステップ３についてもう少し話し合いませんか？”

“How about trying this for a while and if it doesn’t work well we can try your suggestion?”　“これをしばらく試してみてから、うまくいかなかった場合にそちらの提案を試してみるのはどうですか？”

“Why don’t we try ~? It just might work.”　“～を試してみませんか？うまく行くかもしれません。”

“We believe that this system is sufficient for us.”　“このシステムで我々に十分だと思っているのですが。”

“I find that using our proven methods results in the fewest mistakes.”　“私どもの立証済みの方法を使えば、結果はより誤りが少ないということが分かっています。”

“I am of the opinion that this system is very effective.”　“私はこのシステムは非常に効果があるという意見を持っています。”

相手の意見に敬意を示すときの英語表現

“It is clear that you have thought about this a lot. Tell me more about your ideas.”　“これについてあなたが色々と考えられたのは、よく分かります。あなたの考えをもっと教えてください。”

“Okay, tell me more about your plan so we can talk about it.”　“分かりました。それについて話し合えるように、あなたのプランについてもう少しお話しください。” 

“That sounds like a good idea. Can you give me some more information so I can get a better picture?”　“それは良いアイデアのようですね。もっとそれに関する情報をいただけますか？そうすればもっとはっきりしたものが見えてきますので。”

“Let’ s see if we can work that into our project.”　“我々のプロジェクトにそれを組み込めるかどうか見てみましょう。” 

“This has been a very productive meeting. Thank you for sharing your opinions.”　“この会議はとても生産的でありました。皆さんの意見を教えてくれてありがとう。”

“Thank you, everyone, for your suggestions. They were all very informative and helpful.”　“皆さん、提案をありがとうございます。それらの提案は全て有益で役に立ちます。”

“Thank you so much for taking the time to explain your reasoning. I appreciate your efforts.”　“理由をご説明するのに時間を取ってくださり、ありがとうございました。ご協力に感謝いたします。”

“I appreciate your input. It has helped me make a more well-rounded decision.”　“あなたのご助言に感謝いたします。おかげでより幅広い決定がくだせます。”
